This small board will be found invaluable for projects and models using R/C type servos.

Test and calibrate hobbyist "R/C - Radio Control" type servos.

In Automatic mode, Servo-Check produces a pulse stream that makes the servo traverse smoothly through 90 degree at a speed determined by the potentiometer setting (approx 0.5 to 5 secs / 90 degree ).

Advanced users can add 2 standard 10k linear potentiometers to adjust the end stops for a simple, stand-alone animatronic controller module.

In Manual mode, the servo position is fully adjustable from 0 to 90 degrees by using the thumbwheel. Manual mode generates a standard servo pulse stream. The width of the pulses varies between 1.0msecs and 2.0 msecs depending on the position of the potentiometer. Turning the potentiometer fully to either end of its travel will cause the LED to light indicating that either a 1.0 or 2.0 pulse width which should correspond with a servo angle of either 0 or 90 degrees. Additionally, as the potentiometer is turned, the LED will light at positions corresponding to15, 30, 45, 60 degrees and 75 degrees , thereby providing a field calibration setup.

Works from standard 5-6 VDC supply and includes 3-pin header for all standard servos.

4-Ch Manual Servo and Wizard-1
Automated Duo Controller

This unique board will allow the control of 4 servos manually via remote 10K potentiometers or by Wizard -1 Board control. The input (pots or Wizard Board) is selected by on-board slide switch or dry contact closure to the Remote Input Selection terminal block. When switched to (M)anual, the 4 servos are independently controlled by the remotely mounted pots. Minimum and maximum limits can be set for each servo but these limits are only in effect when the board is in (M)anual control. When in (W)izard mode, the Wizard Board will handle limits for the servos. There is an on-board SS relay that can either be activated by dry contact closure at the Remote Relay Trigger terminal block or by pressing the small pushbutton located next to the relay.

R/C Duo Board Switcher

The R/C - Wizard Servo Switch board will switch 1-6 individual servo PWM signals coming from a standard R/C receiver or all 6 individual servo PWM signals coming from a Wizard Board to 6 shared common servo lines when switched on / off by R/C transmitter-receiver Aux Ch.

The user will manually control 1-6 servos by operating the R/C transmitter
as a normal R/C system. When the user activates R/C Transmitter Ch -AUX ON, the control board will automatically switch all servo lines from the R/C Transmitter-servo operation to the Wizard Board operation and will trigger the Wizard board to playback pre recorded routine to the shared 6 channel servos.

When Ch-AUX of the R/C transmitter-receiver is de-activated it will switch all 6 channels from the Wizard Board back to the R/C transmitter-receiver control for manual operation of the 1-6 shared servos.

NOTE: This controller may be used with other PWM devices such as a second R/C Transmitter, or other controller boards.

R/C 2-Ch Servo / Relay Multiplexer Controller

This board allows the use of an RC controller to select outputs for two servo inputs and control two SS relays. The Servo outputs and relays are controlled separately. Two servo inputs can be output to 6 different outputs. The RC joystick allows the user to select which of the 6 outputs to send the two servo inputs to. Moving the joystick left decrements the channel, moving it right increments the channel. The channel number selected is displayed on a 7 segment LED display. Once a channel has been selected, a 2 second time delay is started before enabling the outputs. After the delay has expired, the Channel Active Indicator (decimal point on LED Display) lights and the incoming servo signals are routed to the selected outputs. Power for the servos can be supplied by a single power supply (by inserting the shorting block next to the servo connector), or any servo can have a separate power source. This is attached at the terminal block just above the servo connector. In this case, the shorting block must be removed. All servo signals are optically isolated from the inputs.

The relays are also controlled by RC joysticks. Each relay is controlled by a separate joystick. Moving either joystick to the right will activate the associated relay. When the joystick is returned to the center, the relay is deactivated.

The board is powered by 12VDC and is attached to the Power Input Terminal block or the 2.1mm Power Jack. A terminal block is also supplied to allow the attachment of a remote switch which will bypass the on-board switch.

R/C Servo 2 Channel Solid State Relay Interface Board
with Duo Control Options

This board allows the activation of two Solid State 2-Amp Relays by using the standard R/C Transmitter joystick. It has 4 modes of operation that are selected by the placement of 2 jumpers. The board is powered by the +5V coming from the servo connector.

Mode 1: Pulse Mode
When the joystick is moved to the left, Relay 1 activates and stays activated as long as the joystick stays in the left position. When the joystick returns to the center position, the relay deactivates. When the joystick is moved to the right, Relay 2 is activated and stays activated as long as the joystick stays in the right position. When the joystick returns to the center position, the relay deactivates.

Mode 2: Toggle Mode
When the joystick is moved to the left, Relay 1 is activated (toggled on) and stays on even when the joystick is returned to the center position. The relay is deactivated (toggled off) by moving the joystick to the left a second time. When the joystick is moved to the right, Relay 2 is activated (toggled on) and stays on even when the joystick is returned to the center position. The relay is deactivated (toggled off) by moving the joystick to the right a second time.

Mode 3: Double Pulse Mode
When the joystick is moved to either the right or left, both relays are activated at the same time and stay activated as long as the joystick is in the left or right position. As soon as the joystick returns to the center position, both relays are deactivated.

Mode 4: Double Toggle Mode
When the joystick is moved to either the right or left, both relays are toggled on and remain on when the joystick is returned to the center position. When the joystick is moved to either the right or left position a second time, both relays are toggled off.

3 - Switch Servo Controller

This unique BPE exclusive small custom controller board was designed to operate a standard R/C servo in several user modes. Mode one is running the servo to a programmed minimum and maximum limit by the push of button 1 or 2. The user can activate button 3 to play back a previously recorded user sequence of servo movement (up to 15 minutes recorded time).

Three Buttons on the control board or remote buttons determine what the servo will do ­ (1) move to the minimum position, (2) move to the maximum position or to (3) continuously loop the user recorded sequence. On board potentiometer / program button and EEPROM allow user to record and store servo routine needed (15 minutes )

The servo is connected to the board either by the 3-pin servo connector or by the servo terminal block. The board requires a power source 7.5V dc to 9V dc at 800 mA or greater. Power can be hooked to the board either by a 2.1mm power connector or by the alternate power terminal wire block.

The Joystick Servo Controller is a dual channel servo controller capable of direct manual servo, relay control and with recording option of up to 13 minutes of servo and relay action, interfaced to a standard game joystick.

The board features loop playing with variable delay, synchronized playback, can be linked with several other boards for multiple servo applications, has servo movement limit setting and a single relay channel output.

Joystick forward and backwards controls servo one motions.

Random 8-Channel Solid State Relay Control Board

This unique board will allow the control of 8 Solid State relays in four modes of operation. Each relay has a test button and indicator. There are 2 potentiometers that will control the on times and off times (as appropriate) of the relays. Two Mode Indicators will indicate which of the 4 modes is selected. For each of the relays, there is a terminal block for the contacts. Also, all relay contacts are brought to a 16-pin ribbon cable connector for remote output use.

Solid State Relay Control Board

This board allows the individual control of 8 Solid State Relays. For each relay, the user can program an On Time, an Off Time and a Loop Time. The times can be different for each relay and the time intervals can range from 0 seconds to 5 minutes. The relays can be triggered individually or in sequence by applying a dry switch closure at the respective terminal or pressing the associated test pushbutton. An AutoStart switch is provided so that, if switched on, the board will immediately go to waiting for a trigger event to start the playback. The user enters all times via menu-driven LCD.

The board incorporates many features such as looping playback, sequence of relays from a single input, relay cascading where relays activate one after another based on the programmed times once triggered.
Board is silent, no mechanical relay noise when operating.
One switch can activate multiple relay outputs.

1Ch to 4Ch R/C Servo Switching Controller

This module is designed to switch a single R/C channel control signal to four different set of servos individually or as any group 1-4.

Module allows each servo to be controlled independently from the standard control signal (PWM) but can be switched to control different connected servos.
Board can be configured to power servos of different voltages individually, or from one common power source, depending on power supplies used (1Vdc - 24Vdc)
Servos can be switched automatically on board by selecting slide switches, or switching between servos 1-4 can be controlled by remote relays or manual switch inputs to board.

Wire 3-pin header blocks, make hook-up to servos and connection to servo controller easy to do. Power block for quick setup of different voltages to servos.

Requires power supply ranging from 7.5V to 24V DC at 100 mA for on board electronics and voltage from 1-24 Vdc for servo used.

4-Channel Manual Servo Controller with

This unique controller board was designed to allow the use of 2 remote wired joysticks to control 4-R/C servo motors. The minimum and maximum limits of movement for each servo can be programmed and are stored in non-volatile memory.

There is also a SS relay that is activated by pressing down on the joystick switch.
Joystick has rubber caps for good finger / thumb tip control and comfort.

Application and Connection Setup Overview

4-Ch Switch or Potentiometer Servo-Relay Controller
( Manual Puppeteer / WALDO Control Board )

This unique board set was designed to allow the use of either switches and/or potentiometers to manually remote control 4-servo motors and 1-Remote Solid State 2 Amp Relay. The switches or potentiometers are located on small remote boards that are connected to the main board via an 8 foot ribbon cable.
The minimum and maximum limits of movement for each servo can be programmed and are stored in non-volatile memory. There is also a Solid State relay that is activated by a toggle switch (also on the remote boards). The master control board has separate power entries for board power and servo power with the ability of using a remote switch to turn either on or off. Both remote switch and potentiometer boards have LED indicators that show the presence of board power and servo power.

Boards can be stacked to create an expanding servo control setup ( Two boards= 8 servo control, Three boards = 12 servo control, Four boards stacked = 16, ect ).
Control Boards can also be stacked to have one master board operated by switches another master board operated by potentiometers stacked together as one set. This unique design allows for easy development of a WALDO or puppeteer type interface setup.
Master control board requires Switch or Potentiometer board.
Separate power (9VDC) for the controller and a separate power (5VDC) for the servos is required

Programmable 4-Ah Servo Controller with
Manual Joysticks and 1-Ch Relay Control

This unique 4 channel servo and 1 channel solid state relay board was designed to allow the use of a remote joysticks in manual or in user program mode to control 4 servo motors and 1- solid state relay.

The joysticks are located on a small remote board connected to the main board via an 6 foot ribbon cable. The minimum and maximum limits of movement travel for each servo can be programmed and are stored in non-volatile memory.

There is also a Solid State relay that is activated by a toggle switch (also on the remote board). The board has separate power entries for board power and servo power with the ability of using a remote switch to turn either on or off. Both remote boards have LED indicators that show the presence of board power and servo power.

The user has the ability to record and playback up to 10.5 minutes of servo and relay activity. User can switch between manual and recorded playback with on board pushbutton switches. When user is in playback mode, and needs to manual control servos, a simple press of the red stop button , halts the playback routine and instantly allow control of the servos / relay by manual method. Programming servo / relay motion is set by on board selection switch and the activation of the red record/ stop button switch during real time programming.
