3D Printing Prototype Fees
(NOTE: PLA Plastic is used for parts- Bio Friendly Material)
Fees are based on the following areas:
(1) 3D Printer Setup Fee.
(2) Printed Parts Weight / Print Time Fee
(3) Mechanical Design Fee if needed.
(4) Shipping Fee.
Fees are based on (1) 3D Printer Setup Fee, (2) Printed
Parts Fee / Time Fee, (3) Mechanical Design Fee if
needed and (4) Shipping Fee.
Turn-around time for prototypes is based on when we are available,
current project load, time lines of project and estimated printed
parts times. Before we start any project, our design team will
analysis and review the project to determine the feasibility
and reality of such a project and give an estimated price. This
helps save you money and helps leads to a successful completed
print. Once you approve a prototype concept, sign off on it,
our design team can print out your parts.
Blue Point Engineering will work hard at printing your 3D parts
out successfully and with the best quality possible, but on occasion
some parts will not print correctly or just not print. Unfortunately
we may not be able to provide these parts, so Blue Point Engineering
does not warranty or guarantee any 3D prints or quality of the
parts printed or parts to be printed.

parts to be printed.
A complete review of your print project, fee estimation and your
approval will occur before any parts will be printed.

3D PRINTING FEES: (Subject to change at anytime)
TOTAL 3D PRINTING FEES:
(1) 3D Printer Setup Fee + (2) Parts Print / Time
Fees + (3) Mechanical Design Fee if needed + (4)
Parts Shipping fees.
(1) 3D Printer Setup Fee: $5.00 - $100.00 (One time
fee per project). Fee is based on number of parts to be printed,
PLA material, (colors used), 3D print operator tech time, complexity
of print (rafts, supports needed, multiple print or single print
size on 3D printer build plate), quick conversion of design data
to 3D printer use data format.
(2) Parts Print / Time Fee: Fees are based on Total
Part Weight + Print Time of actual 3D printing per part. (Weight
= $2.47 per ounce, Print Time= $0.25 per 10 minutes of printing).
(Note: weight can vary depending on print fill percentage and
shell thickness requested, support and raft materials used are
also included in total weight measurement).
(3) Mechanical / Engineering Design Fees if needed:
Fee is based on $165.00 per hour for design, engineering and
CAD layout work if requested.
(4) Parts Shipment to you: UPS, FedEx or USPS Priority
Mail Fee to ship your parts.
Fee is based on current rates charged by the shipping agent selected
to ship parts to your location.
Sending 3D Files to Blue Point Engineering
Most design / engineering CAD files can be e-mailed and converted
by our team to use with the 3D printer. It is recommended that
if possible stl files be used to prevent problems and
delays in printing out the parts, (NOTE: An additional fee of
$ 50.00 can be charged if it requires more that 1 Hour to convert
your designs to a working file for the 3D Printer). Please contact
