We have had requests to
offer an DMX Control with VSA Software workshop by many of our
customers and others, so Blue Point Engineering along with Wizard
Devices is considering offering a DMX 512 and VSA Programing
Software workshop with applications toward animatronics in the
very near future.

in learning about DMX Control and how to use the VSA Programing
Software?
Some of the information
to be covered in the workshop:
Introduction to DMX-512 as a Control Method, Basic Animatronics
applied to DMX, VSA (Brookshire) Programming Software. Principles
of pneumatics, motor/solenoid controlling, lighting effects,
servo modification, and mechanical design as applied to animatronic
concepts. Motion and sound controller programming and hardware
setup.
Students will work hands-on
with DMX devices like 8-Channel Servomotor Board, 8-Channel Relay,
MP3 Audio DMX Controller( sound effect board) and others DMX
hardware such as the DMX LED driver Board, DMX-DC Motor Board
and DMX 4-Channel Analog Output Board. Students will also have
an oportunity to use the Brookshire VSA Control software to program
and design show routines for operating the DMX devices, as might
be used in Animatronics, Haunted House and other applications.
Students will at the end
of the workshop have an opportunity to take home a USB to DMX
interface, several DMX controllers they work with, DMX cables,
support hardware, as well as the Brookshire VSA programming software,
an animatronic prop they built and animated as part of the workshop.
